Re: Totally FREE Toy Ideas
Well, mostly free. I did use some popsicle sticks. Thought this might be fun.
A little different from my usual box on box on box anyway. Hopefully good climbing exercise. The smaller tissue box will be a dig box and I'll put some tissue or something in the top one too.

That's neat! I love the sort of lookout tissue box.

And this one is probably a no-brainer but I thought I'd share anyway. One of my go to flying saucer holders and all my mice have loved cardboard drink trays, so win-win.
Just cut slits here:
And slip flying saucer in place:

Re: Totally FREE Toy Ideas
So I don't have a picture but I have a toy idea that is free, easy to make, and is a hit with my girls every time.
Crumpled paper.
That is it, I usually use packing paper but they love shredding it, carrying the paper balls around and all around having a good time with them.

Re: Totally FREE Toy Ideas
This one is probably another "duh" idea but I don't think it's been mentioned here...
Pringles (or similar brand) cardboard chip/crisp tube. Once you cut the metal bottom off, the inside lining peels off very easily - toss the lid too.
These are the smaller sized ones and I just covered them in construction paper to make them prettier. The paper straws are just to stabilize that top tube because it was wobbly and there's a cardboard base on the bottom to keep the whole thing from tipping.
