Can an eye infection travel to the chest?
Hi! I had to euthanize one of my 5 females yesterday. I took her to the vet almost 2 weeks ago for what appeared the be an eye infection. They sent us home with baytril. As of Saturday night she was no better or worse. Still alert and eating and everything. As of yesterday morning she was open mouth breathing and making the clicking noises with sneezes. I rushed her to er vet and after examination they recommended putting her to sleep as she was struggling to breathe even while in an oxygen tube.
Has anyone ever heard of an eye infection traveling to the chest? The original vet said it also might have been a tumor as that whole side of her face was swollen.
