Anyones' mice like scented items?
I've recently found out that Beans loves flowers and flower scented things after giving him a petal off my rose that he seemed really interested in!
I thought he would eat it, but instead he got all excited and shredded it up and put it in his nest!
I left it with him for a couple days to make sure he wasn't getting any respiratory problems or sneezies, but he just loves sleeping and playing with them!
So after a few days he seems alright with no problems so I let him keep them, and gave him new ones with his cage change
He also likes my decaf floral teas like lavender and basil! Though I'm careful of what ones I let him near so he won't get hurt.
It just got me wondering if anyone else has mousies that like particular smells! I'd love to know

I'm not sure if Figgus liked the smell or taste but he loved all different safe flowers and plants I gave him.

That is so cute! Sometimes I pull up a grass clump with the roots and seeded heads included and put them in the mousie's playpen. They do get quite excited, nibble the seeds, and drag the leaves around. So adorable.
I still have some Rudbeckias blooming. I wonder if it would be okay to offer them a flowerhead from those?

I used to give Figgus dandelions, Cornflowers, clover, wild Strawberries and raspberries and their leaves etc. There is a good list on this site, just search safe plants/flowers

@SarahAdams That's so cute! Also I'm unsure about coneflowers/rudbeckias myself. I've heard some people give them as a dietary supplement to their mice and rats, and I haven't heard of them being toxic so it may be fine? Just be sure there's no bugs or anything on them if you give them some.
and @Dee67 Aw that's cute! Maybe next spring I'll give lil Beans a dandelion and a clover and see how he likes them

They might really like clover! Sadly, I won't see any til next spring and I doubt my little elderly boys will be around by then.
