Hammock question

Hi guys, I want to make a simple hammock for Codo and I saw a few things about them here somewhere but I can't remember where. I remember someone said you can make one with a square of polar fleece folded into a triangle. Does it matter how big the triangle is? It would only be for one mouse and don't have much room at the moment but want to see if he would like a comfy place to sleep. I think I remember them saying I can attach it to the cage with paper clips.

Hi, that's me! Nope, it doesn't matter what size. I make them pretty big whether it's for my single males or my colony of ladies. I think I usually make them about 8X8 square and them fold it over to make a triangle. If it's too big, they you can just trim it to size at this point to make it fit your space. Then you'll know how to cut the next one. Then I put safety pins in all the corners and then attach it to the mesh lid with zip ties. Not all mice take to it right away, you can try putting some treats on top. Sometimes they just sleep on top but most of the time they snuggle up inside. Sometimes they just like to go up to look around. My tame mice always run up there to beg to come out.

Thanks Scaredymouse, I'll try that size and see if it works out. I hope he will like it. I'm making a little tower to put in with Podo, it has a hammock on top made with felt. I can't wait until I get the bigger cages for them so I can put more fun things in with them.

Dammit, I should've used zip ties instead of buying metal clips at the store for my girls' hammock. I bought a pack of 200 zip ties not too long ago to tidy up my PC's cable management.

Update. Codo loves his hammock! At first he didn't really use it, he would walk up there but not lay on it. But now I walk in the room and he's up there sleeping a l lot, I love it. So cute. I made it with Tigger material so he's sleeping on Tigger, lol.
