Hammock Materials
Hello. I would like to make a hammock for my two mice. I looked at the other topics here on diy hammocks and found some great tips! What materials are safe to use? The tutorials and tips I've seen all use fleece. I have a bunch of fabrics, but they're all pillow case/t-shirt material. Are these safe?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Hammock Materials
Any sort of fabric works provided your mice don’t excessively chew it. I made plenty of hammocks out of old t-shirts when I first started mouse keeping (which I should probably start doing again—it’s a great form of repurposing!)

Re: Hammock Materials
Just avoid materials that mousies can easily catch toenails in -- terry cloth, for example. Even if they have no torn-nail injuries, it still irritates them to have to keep shaking their little paws loose from loops and threads.
If I had to guess what my little April's favorite fabric was, I'd say velour.
