Maybe they just like to have a bit of "reading material" on hand before going to bed Jester !

Whatever I give my mice, they just remove all nesting material from the nest and sleep on the glass. The only thing they'll nest on is strips of construction paper. Not even newspaper cuts it. Confused

My mouse does this too! At first I thought it was because I use dirt bedding in his tank, but he does it with Walmart brand carefresh too! I'll give him some construction paper and see if he will use that I guess Confused

I like Aspen Bedding, it's not dust (if you get the brand I have), it is only like 12 dollars, completley safe and you can find huge bags at petsmart :3

Aspen bedding is technically safe... But still a possibility of allergies and besides, I'd imagine paper would be much more comfortable.
Your choice, but I'd recommend a paper based bedding over aspen.

I don't really have time to make a new thread so... What brand of Carefresh is ok? I know to stay away from dusty and scented beddings, but I know there is a brand of Carefresh that is really dusty and I don't know which one it is.

I think it's the natural Carefresh, isn't it? (Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.) And I believe Carefresh Shavings Plus is very bad to use, because it has kiln-dried wood in it?

The colored paper-based ones are just fine. Just don't get anything with baking soda listed in it. Otherwise, I don't know which one was dustier...I think it was natural?
