Hello from Texas
Hello everyone!
I'm a fairly new mouse momma. Got two girls back in July 2017, Nicole and Marie. Marie passed away the beginning of last month. Nicole has right sided heart failure, but she's still the most lovable baby. Got Madeline after Marie passed because Nicole was sleeping a lot more. Getting two more younger babies sometime this week. Excited to grow my group!

Welcome! Those are super cute mice. I love their colors! Is Nicole a brindle/lethal yellow? I believe heart failure is more common in them but I'm not entirely sure, they get pretty big!

They have super distinct personalities too! Which I was surprised to find out when I first got them. I'm not sure since I got her from PetSmart (first mistake). But yeah, I read that somewhere. That's why I thought it was normal when she got a little chunkier. My next two and any subsequent babies I get will be from a local breeder.

Hello!
I'm also in Texas, not too far from you according to your location, so that's cool!
I'm curious about what breeder you're getting your girls from!
Your current mice are super cute, and welcome to you and them!

Re: Hello from Texas
Thank you so much!!! I didn't know so many mouse people were in Texas. Which was a part of the reason I joined the forum!
It's called The Grapevine Mouse House. I was supposed to go today, but my boyfriend got busy helping his dad build something. The idea was I would drive there in his car and he would drive back because I would want to hold the carrier myself (like the overprotective mouse mom I am). Maybe tomorrow!

Yeah, I don't know a whole lot of mouse people, but there is a Facebook group for Texas mouse/rat owners!
I'll have to look into that mousery the next time I want to add some more mice to the family! Grapevine is only ~45 minutes from me
