Scary mouse
Hi all,
O.k. so I built a forging wall for Eugene. I'm not sure what's going on with him but unlike other mice, he refuses to climb anything. Like, anything. When I sat him on top of the first ledge he sniffed then immediately climbed down. He was very nervous. I also had a wire rack propped up for about 3 days so he can climb, but nope not one time did he try to go up.
Could he be afraid of heights? I know that could sound weird in a mouse.

Re: Scary mouse
Is he new? Does he seem to get around normally otherwise?

Re: Scary mouse
Yes he gets around quite well. Going through tubes, eating and drinking well. Just refuses to climb.

Re: Scary mouse
Since he’s still so new I would think it’s just a matter of getting comfortable in his new home. As he does you’ll probably see him exploring more. If the ledges and tank are more open, it may help to provide as much cover as you can. He may feel too exposed.

Oh, I didn't think about that. I will cover them and hope he feels more secure. Yes, hopefully he warms up to being here. I started thinking he missed his brothers.
