Male and female mice in the same room?
Hey! Just for future reference, because I do still want a male mouse at some point, would it be a problem if I kept male and female mice in the same room (in separate cages, of course), or would the male become extra territorial and mark more because he can smell the females?

Re: Male and female mice in the same room?
I have 2 males, I did have 3 boys but one recently passed. They all live(d) in separate cages. Then I currently have 3 tanks with groups of females. The boys have been just fine with girls around, I would just make sure you have secure cages or tanks. I have heard stories of males escaping their cage and getting into females' cages, or even vise versa. I have tanks with metal mesh lids and have never had any escapes

I have Pumpkin in the same room as my girls, and haven't seen any problems.
