Mouse safe paint?

I recently found a 200 quart bin (around 850 square inches) for my trio of females! I’m really excited to set it up, I want it to be spring themed. My question is, what paint can I use for toys? Would it be safe to use non toxic children’s paint or would it still potentially be dangerous? Also, where could I find the paint (I’m going to either Walmart or micheals to buy zip ties so if the paint is sold at either of those that would be good 
)

At Walmart they carry some paint called Folk Art and Apple Barrel. both of those paints would be safe.
