Is this wheel safe? Empty Is this wheel safe?

I found these wheels on Amazon and I got 1 for my mice. Has anyone used them before? Do you think the grooves on the inside of the wheel would hurt their feet? Some of the grooves/gaps are bigger on the wheel I got than in the picture so I'm a bit worried.
