Cage Advice?
Hi, I'm getting a group of female rescue mice/multis in July, and I was wondering if this cage was the start of a good set up? Obviously there is no substrate in there yet (I'm going to be using an econest carefresh mix for that) and I will get more chew toys closer to the time but is there anything else that anyone would recommend for them? I've done a lot of research and as far as I'm aware everything in there is safe for mice but please tell me if I'm mistaken, any other advice on owning mice in general is welcome as these will be my first.

Looks fun! Judging by some of the toys I recognize, it looks like a good size cage. I’m always jealous of the cage options that seem readily available in the UK.
I’ve never kept asf so I can’t comment on what works best for them. Good luck and welcome!

That looks amazing! I wish I could afford that for my mice.... they live in a 40 gallon aquarium

Thanks! I actually got this one second hand so it was only £50 not the £150 it’s meant to be! I was super happy about it

Love it
It looks super fun. My only concern is over the cloth. I find that some of my mice get there claws caught on soft cloths. They will also soil it fast.

Yeah the fabric is a trail run, I’m gunna clip it down and see how it goes if it’s not working out I’ll replace it with cardboard like our gerbils have. It’s because them two shelves are wire and I didn’t want limbs falling through or getting caught in them. Thank you though I’ll make sure to stay extra cautious while trying it out with them

Could you post the name of the cage or its manufacturer? Thanks very much.

Hi, yeah it’s a Savic Freddy 2 max (I think) it’s sold as a rat or ferret cage - I had to mesh it when I first got my girls as two of them were babies but after a few weeks of growing I took the mesh off and have had no problems since
