I got freeze dried mealworms for birds, reptiles, and fish - are these good for mice too? The brand is Aqua Culture.

I broke one into pieces for the first time try. Graham tried snatching them from Maier, but completely ignored the piece right next to her. Smh.

Are live mealworms okay? I used to feed those to my Leopard Gecko back when I had one.

The mealworms I don't mind; I think they're kinda cute, actually. It's the pupae and beetles they turn into that skeeve me out.

I don't think the worms are cute (once I accidentally peaked at the giant ones Sick), but I used to move my "favorite" mealworms into a separate container so they wouldn't get eated. The other ones got fed to the mice on a special worm spoon.

My previous mice loved live worms, I wonder what my current ones would think. Razz

Lol, my dad has the giant ones, they are kinda gross. Uh, what did you do with your "favorite" worms when they turned into beetles? Lol, keep them as pets? Laughing

I have never had a mouse that liked mealworms! I've tried different freeze-dried brands since I get them for my hermit crabs as well but no dice...and there's no way live mealworms were coming into the house!

I didn't like the beetles or know what to do with them, so they just hung out until they died. I also thought it was fun to feed all the worms potato when they got their break from the fridge. Razz

One elderly mouse who ate live worms but not freeze dried accepted rehydrated worms... with the head dipped in oil. lol

They were a real hit with my girls. I have an MES that has a sort of 'pit' filled with torn up toilet paper, so I hide treats in there sometimes and they love it. I'll have to fill it with bits of mealworms sometimes.

How many mealworms can be fed at once and how often? Daily, weekly, every 2 days, what?
