Silk
The first death in my first little group of three happened today. My little Silk was found curled up in the middle of her cage, I can't help but think she never got to finish the last thing she was trying to do. I got her on 03/01/19, so she had a full 19 months and a week with me. There was no illness or any symptoms, so I assume she just finally succumbed to old age as she has been slowly declining.
She was the smallest, the pickiest, the most agile, and the timidest of the three of them. She would even be choosy with her lab blocks. The last few months she couldn't even manage to move the wheel on her own. I hope wherever she is, she's finally running free and jumping around like when she was younger.
