Awww, I'm so sad and sorry to hear this about sweet little Lucy. Try to take comfort that you gave Lucy lots of love in her short life and that you were able to comfort her at the end. Thank goodness you had her and she didn't die alone in a cage at the pet store. Take care of yourself and know that we are all thinking about you. Sending you lots of hugs.

I'm so sorry. You can't blame yourself for this—mice just do that sometimes. It's sad, but she's not in pain. Only you are right now. I hope you feel better soon... I don't really know how to help you here but just don't blame yourself. You were a lovely owner for the short time you owned her, and you have her a very happy last little while in her life. Hug

I'll be talking to my mom about getting another mouse tonight. I work tomorrow, and with luck I'll be taking home another mouse from one of the pet stores nearby after my shift.

I'm sorry to hear Anon,

I actually lost my mouse today too and it's so much more painful than I ever expected. I haven't done anything since I got home except cry but I know we're both going to make it!

Like MouseLover said, we can still bring joy to more mice and they can bring it to us as well. We're never going to forget our tiny friends, and they lived good lives the entire time we had them.
