So sorry that you've lost sweet little Bolt. He certainly had a wonderful life with you, abeona, and lived to a good age. That's all we can ask for these tiny critters.

HoneyBee and Al
HoneyBee was one of seven self blacks in her litter, but you could always tell which one she was... she was a small girl, and her coat was never as perfect as her sisters'. She also had the best personality. She was so outgoing and fun. Her favorite spot was in my hood. When the rest of her litter went back to the nest, she liked to stay out and nap in my jacket for a bit.
Al wasn't mine, my sister took him in while I pregnant, but he was still one of my babies. He was named after his mom, Alison, but he was nearly an Arnold. His litter was nicknamed the Ali-gators. He was a hilarious, character-filled mouse even as a baby, and the stories my sister told of him made me wish that I got to spend more time with him. I did get to mouse sit him a couple times.
I remember the excitement when each litter was born, and the amazement at how quickly they grew up... Sometimes seriously impressed at the differences I noticed in only 12 hours. It's so sad to realize that of the 15 babies, there are only three left.

Noooooo. I'm so sorry, Abeona. That's a lot of loss. Honeybee was so sweet and Al was so funny. Those babies would have been lost without you... they had such a great life.
