Be very careful with tunnel systems. It makes it super easy for the colony to split and one or more girls to bully the others and block them from a section of the cage. Just something to keep in mind and watch for.

Those CritterTrail setups are fun to look at, but all the tubes have got to be a pain in the butt to clean! Shocked

That set-up is ginormous! When I first started mousing, I had the same base cage with only a small tube system (an inverted square "U") that ran about 10" over the cage. One of my mice, Chablis, loved to climb up and run along the approximately 24" length but would "freeze" at the top of the downward tube, scared of the nose-first descent. She would stay up there until her fear-nothing sister, Merlot, would come up behind her and force her to climb down, essentially with her nose at Chablis butt. I've heard similar stories from other mousers so keep an eye out for potentially scary situations and "frozen" mice.
