A few questions on mice

Hi I am new to this forum.I just wanted to ask a few questions.I would appreciate the advice as I am new to mouse care.I am hoping to get a male in about a month.I have been doing lots of research!
1.Is cleaning the cage with a 50% water and 50% vinegar solution okay?
2.Is a 500 square inch cage big enough for one male mouse?
3.Is there any important mouse care tips I should know?

Welcome to the forum!! I'm excited to hear you're getting a male. They can be such wonderful friends. Smile

1. Water and vinegar is a perfect cleaning solution for weekly changes. Dish soap and water in the bathtub is a good way to fully clean when your cage needs a good scrub.

2. 500 square inches should be a good amount of space for your boy. The minimum we recommend for 1 male or 3 females is a 10 gallon tank (200 sq in).

3. Check out this link. It's basically a directory for all of the basic mouse info/stickies we have around here.
