Advice and hello everyone!

Hello everyone! My name is Amber and my user (Lupus Corde) is Latin for wolf heart. As you can see i'm fairly new here, I have never owned mice before but should be getting three females in the next few months. I was just hoping to receive some advice on keeping mice, I will be getting a 60cmx40cmx40cm tank with side and front ventilation. (25 gallons) I am unsure what food to use as many US ones are not available in the UK. I should be buying a silent spinner and flying saucer (both normal size) and of course providing toys/chews/hides. I'm planning on getting aspen and carefresh ultra for bedding and tissues/carefresh ultra for nesting. Any other tips for keeping mice happy and healthy in their home?

We have a few UK members here, so I will let them chime in about the best food and toys for you. Everything you said sounds great so far, great tank. Aspen is safe, however, some mice can develop allergies to it. It's also not very soft on their little feets. For these reasons, I don't use it. But like I said, it's safe. But you might want to consider just using the paper based beddings for them.

Welcome! A bit of advice that I'm sure everyone here would agree with and tell you: stuff their tank with toys! Mice are such active little critters so they love all sorts of things to climb run and chew. As scaredy said, the UK members will be able to give you more advice on commercial toys (and foods) or you can make your own.
