Random bedding question!!
Since it’s almost Easter I’ve been seeing those Easter basket paper shreds all around, are they safe to use for mice? I think my mice would really like the material for nesting! I would probably get the plain brown shreds if they are safe, would the colored ones be safe too?
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Re: Random bedding question!!
As long as they’re paper and not the plastic shreds, they’re definitely safe. And they will be loved! You can also buy them off season at the dollar store.

My mice LOVE the paper shreds!! You can get them in the party section of Dollar Tree all year round (though they'll sometimes have special colors/combos around holidays). Definitely go for it, they're a fun treat for the mice.

Re: Random bedding question!!
Thank you so much for the replies! If I were to get them at the dollar tree would it be safe to get the colored ones or should I go with the brown/white ones? Again, thank you for the responses!

Re: Random bedding question!!
The colored ones should be fine, most paper is colored with soy dye which is safe for mice! I've used the colored ones from dollar tree and haven't had any issues - though Spider did have some purple poos for a few days.

Colored CareFresh?
A similar question to this that I have is about the colored CareFresh. Is that okay to use as well? I've just been using the white or tan colored bedding and put in some aspen too. I assume that any of the 'scented' ones are not okay to use for mice.

Re: Random bedding question!!
@BrendoniUrie The scented carefresh is NOT safe and shouldn't be used - I don't understand why it's even sold, since it's not safe for small animals. :/ However, the colored and unscented Carefresh is perfectly safe!! It was my favorite before I bought the paper shredder haha~
