She doesn't really have a name yet... so I'm calling her Mrs. Wigglesworth. This little lady has a radiant spirit and is full of life despite the horrors that she has obviously endured. I don't know if she will pull through but she will be loved and cared for the rest of her life. The wound on her head is so horrible but somehow she's really cute... it looks like she has bangs. It's going to be a huge challenge to medicate this lady. I actually can't even believe Petco did as well as they did with treating this wound. But this kind of wound should have never happened. I could rant about this all day. Anyway, she's safe, she's happy, and she's mine.

Allegedly she was attacked be another female. I can't even imagine how vicious that attack must have been. Then it developed a huge abscess. There is no excuse for it escalating to this severity. Poor sweet girl. But at present, she doesn't seem bothered at all by it. Hopefully the worst of it is over and my colony will welcome her. Sure wish Gilly was still her to cuddle her.

Would you believe she will happily hop on my hand right away? And I saw her spark! But she is hard to medicate. Omg, she is the wiggliest mouse I've ever had to give meds to and I don't want to be too rough and disturb one if her scabs. Tricky. She's really easy to love, such a sweet little thing. She's pretty young and has so much energy. She's bouncing off the walls. I haven't seen her stop moving since she got here. I would love to see her go to sleep!

poor little thing. That must have been one nasty attack.

But she is still adorable, and sounds like a lovely little personality. Oh I do hope she makes it through to join the other girls, that would be so lovely. Still, either way she has found a happy ending. She will be loved now.

Oh, the sweet little thing -- I'm so glad you got her! Given your amazing track record with sick and unwanted animals, I'm confident Mrs W will have many good reasons to spark as she recovers.

oh my gosh, her little scab fell off!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took her to the vet today and she got an antibiotic injection that stays in the system for 2 weeks, so that's neat. they all love her there.

here's what my cutie pie looks like now. it's impossible for her to not be cute. she's as cute as they come.

Oh my goodness, that is a wee bit gruesome looking but also looks a lot better. she looks like she has a such an awesome personality. That is nifty that they can do that with the antibiotics to make it easier to medicate her.

I saw a little eye in there but the vet said it's possible that it might scar over, we won't know until we get through this. I'm so glad she's with me. I'll protect her and give her everything she needs.

Yes, that shot is cool. It's very off label, but my vet thinks outside the box. This mouse is so hard to medicate without disturbing the wound, we though the shot was best.

Believe it or not, that wound actually looks fantastic. When the scab came off, the was no bleeding and there is no sign of infection. So despite looking gruesome, it is not an open wound. So unless something changes, it should be smooth sailing from here.
