Mix pet mice with wild mice/hantavirus

So I found a mouse in my trash can at work, brought it home got a nice house for it, bought some other mice from petco and I was all set! Then I started doing research and learned about hantavirus! And then found out that my little mouse was a deer mouse which are notorious for carrying said virus... so I took the deer mouse back to my work and let him go with his friends. My question is, if that mouse was infected could his urine and dropping infect the new mice that I kept?? I cant find any information online about this. Hoping someone can help!
