I adopted 5 baby mice from someone who couldn’t keep them - they thought they were all female and I just wanted to check that is the case!

How old are they?

Personally, I'd try to see if you can get a rodent-experienced vet to sex them--sometimes it can be difficult to tell from photo alone.

From what I can see, I can only really classify the last one as male--the other pictures are a bit too blurry for me to tell.

They’re about 6 weeks I think! I suspected the last one to be a Male but can’t see any lump when he’s sitting that could indicate his parts dropping!

If they're six weeks and have been together since birth, they're likely all female. If one was male, one or more of the mice would probably be extremely pregnant by now. Still, it wouldn't be a bad idea to separate that last one out and potentially reintroduce once you have a professional sex them.

HELP gendering mice babies Empty The Last One Looks Male

Post by Kenzie & Sage Thu 18 Feb 2021, 7:35 pm

It can Be hard to tell their gender when they are babies, But personally the last two look to be male.. If you can you might want to house him/her separate until he/she is a little older. Smile this goes for both of them>
Edit: I looked at the second to last and its not male, just the last one is..
