Breathing funny
One of my 3 mice seems to be breathing heavier than normal. She started this 2 days ago and was acting up normal (eating, drinking, running around) until last night. She still gets up to eat and drink but she stoped running around, she now just sits in a corner of the cage. When she is out and I can see her breathing, it looks like she shakes. She does not wheeze or make any other sound, so I was just wondering if she could be sick.
Side note: she is also quite fat (out the sides) and I have had her and the other 2 for about 3 months and was told they are all female. I will post picture and video once I get home from school.

Re: Breathing funny
It sounds to be like it could be a respiratory infection or similar to me.
I'd take her to the vet for a proper diagnosis and some antibiotics!

Labored, choppy, or gasping breathing could mean it hurts the mouse to breathe, or something is putting physical pressure on its respiratory system making it difficult to draw in a full breath. Maybe both. Imagine yourself in the place of the little one. She needs help from a kindly veterinarian with small mammal expertise.

Awww poor baby. Definitely a vet trip is needed. They'll likely prescribe antibiotics. Hope she gets well soon.

Re: Breathing funny
Absolutely time for a doctor visit. If you cannot get her to a doctor yourself, please try to find somebody who can do it for you. Your little mouse looks distressed by this situation, and she needs your help.

Re: Breathing funny
Yes, that definitely looks like a URI. Mice can go downhill quickly with a URI, so it's best to get her to the vet as fast as you can! The sooner she gets the antibiotics, the better. Mice with a URI can go on living a normal life after they recover with antibiotics One of my mice had a respiratory infection and she's doing great now after a vet visit! You'd never even know she was sick! I hope your girly gets well soon!

Re: Breathing funny
Thank you guys for all the help and suggestions. I will try and get her into a vet some time in the afternoon. She has been acting a little more like herself this evening so hopefully that’s a good sign.

Re: Breathing funny
Update:
So I took Bonnie to the vet on Nov. 22, she got antibiotics and seemed to be doing a lot better in the coming days. She was back to her normal self a week later and was doing fine until Monday (12/4) night. I was going to take her back to the vet on Tuesday morning.
Unfortunately, Bonnie passed away on sometime early Tuesday morning as she was gone when I woke up.
RIP Bonnie
