Scared/Startled Mouse Empty Scared/Startled Mouse

Post by AdrienneC Tue 16 Jan 2018, 6:06 pm

Hi,
I have two mice, one a fancy mouse another an albino. They get along great with eachother and good with me too.
My mouse Marci (albino) seems to be very startled when I pick her up. She has never done this before. Every time I touch her she jumps and squeaks loudly, she does the same when I put Mincy (fancy) next to her. I was wondering if any of you know what this means? Is she in pain? Is she sick?
Thanks <:3

Is it possible her and the other fancy mouse had a fight? Or are you chasing her to get her out of the cage?

I once had a very, very skittish mouse (only my second mouse; I was uneducated) and she would squeak when I picked her up. Granted, being the ten year old I was at the time, I kind of chased her around a bit to get her up.

Sudden change in behavior could be a sign of illness/injury. Is she doing anything else strange?

It's also possible something recently just freaked her out. If that's the case, with time and patience she'll come around again. How long have you had her?
