Last week I lost a mouse to old age for the very first time. A pink-eyed white pet store feeder mouse, Sarah lived to the ripe old age of nearly two and a half years old. She got an upper respiratory infection back in May, and unfortunately the infection seemed to resist the antibiotics she was prescribed by the vet. Still, little Sarah was a fighter, and she soldiered on for two more months before I found her body on the morning of the 18th resting peacefully behind her wheel. I have packed her body in the freezer, and I will be taking it to have her cremated tomorrow morning.
Sarah is survived by her two lifelong cagemates, Sally and Selina.

So sorry for your loss of Sarah, sounds like she had a long and great life with you. Rest in peace x

She sounds like she did have a wonderful, long life with you though, and a peaceful passing at home where she feels safe.
