mouse poop is light and soft?

hello! i've had my boy for about a month and i've been noticing lately that sometimes, when he poops on me, it's light in color and soft. is this normal? the poop in his cage is dark and in pellets. it's only ever when he's on me that it looks like this. aside from on his wheel, which he steps on as he runs, so it's squished.

it's not like diarrhea, just soft.
he's still eating, drinking and playing normally
