I had my mouse in a 10 gal aquarium....had it in my front room....I also have a ceiling fan in

my front room..was this the wrong placement of my cage..due to possible draft?? and are

aquariums appropriate cages for mice??

Hello!

For single male mouse/3 female miceĀ a 10g could work pretty well, but something like a 20g would definitely be better so you can fit more enrichment.

As for drafts, I would say if you feel it's cold in your front room your mice do too. If you're concerned you could get a terrarium/tank thermometer for pretty cheaply (usually under $10). Try to stay in between 65-75F.

Aquariums do make great cages for mice provided you use a mesh lid Smile
