In this thread(https://www.petmousefanciers.com/t4468-odd-stories-from-an-aspiring-mouse-breeder#35487) someone said that loud noises affect mice survival rate. Did he/she mean just baby mice/pregnant females or normal adult mice, too? I am worried because I like playing music in my bedroom(I don't have mice, yet, though), and would that bother mice?

Mice do have sensitive ears so if possible it's best to avoid loud noises, though I don't know whether it's truly deadly or not.

I have my mice in my room and do play music semi-frequently, and it doesn't seem to make a huge difference. I think honestly the noises that are most disruptive to mice are high-pitched noises that we can't even hear, which are often emitted from electronic devices without our knowledge.

If you're worried about it, you can buy a bat detector and test for high frequencies in your house, to figure out where the quietest place to keep them would be.

As long as you don't play music loud, it's probably fine for adult mice. I keep mine on a medium to low volume.

Pregnant does do tend to eat their litter when stressed so I'd imagine that's what they meant but I would ask them directly.

The post indicated that it could affect the does, that they would be stressed and might eat their babies etc. It ok to have a radio/music on, but I find anything really loud or sudden stresses my mouse out.

Hi! I posted that. I found that loud noises only affect lactating mothers. I have had no issue with noise for adult mice, but mouse ears are quite sensitive so I would recommend trying to keep the loud noises to a minimum. Thank you for reading my post!
