Cat/Dog Food As Treats..? Empty Cat/Dog Food As Treats..?

Post by Mallymkun Sat 20 Mar 2021, 5:55 pm

I read that some dog and cat foods are safe for mice, if healthy. Any specific ones that mice like/are certainly made with ingredients safe for them? Thanks Confused

I know some people use cat/dog food in their home made mixes. Not sure which kind...Emiology has a video on home made rat food that mentions it, that might help?

I give my mouse a Whimzee's dog chew every so often and he loves it. Hauls it three feet across the cage to his nest!

Cat food is extremely high in protein which cats need. I wouldn't feed it to rodents. There is low-protein cat food for cats with renal failure. I don't know if that kind would be okay.
