Re: Housing Pictures
Thanks! I've been watching them run around tonight, sparking up a storm. Celyn really likes that corn husk tube. Rina alternates between stuffing her face and hanging out in the hammocks. Hazel runs on the wheel, takes a break to explore one of the toys, wheel, new toy, etc. I love seeing them in a new setup. They just have so much fun!

Re: Housing Pictures
This is Colin's set up for this week (as usual without the lid on so you can actually see what's in there!)
He was very excited by it all! (Excuse the not so great instagrammed phone photo!)

Re: Housing Pictures
I have a bit too much fun designing MES - I'm not sure who gets more excited, me or Colin!

Re: Housing Pictures
Here is my setup. I put a little tube leading up to a small hut because I feel like since it is their first week, they should get a little privacy. I took off the lid for a better picture. https://2img.net/h/s12.postimg.cc/t4mma1dgd/IMG_3971.jpg

Re: Housing Pictures
That is a cute setup! One thing you can also do is crowd the ground a little more with another toilet tube or something to that will give them cover as they move about. That can encourage them to explore more since they do not have as far to travel to hide. It looks good though!

I love the idea of putting the coconut on a tissue box! The TP ramp is a fun idea too.

Re: Housing Pictures
Thanks! I'm going to crowd the tank with more items once I get all the stuff. I was worried the tube would collapse as they are going through (it is actually two rolls combined), but it seems pretty stable! Under the egg cartons they made a little nest/burrow, it's so cute :3. I have two hanging toys on the lid (they don't seem too interested but I like them there anyways), someday I'm going to get a hammock, and that puzzle playground. I might also make a bin cage as a travel cage.

Re: Housing Pictures
My Yoshi has been scratching again for a few weeks, but it looked like it was getting better... until tonight, when I found that he had scratched his neck horribly. I cleaned up the blood and moved him from his cage into a 10 gallon. I think I might clean out the 29 gallon for him tomorrow.
It looks more like I tossed a bunch of trash in than it looks the home of my beloved, two year old mouse, but he already seems to be having more fun. Everywhere he goes he has to climb/tunnel/squeeze through something. None of that "senorized" stuff that a couple of my girls are appreciating. I can't even get pictures of everything that I stuffed in there. Hopefully it helps keep him too busy to scratch.

It looks like he has tons to distract him. I hope it helps!

Re: Housing Pictures
I got the idea for the Christmas tree while browsing Pinterest for holiday tree alternatives. Even more fun for the mice when you stash treats in the cardboard circles. The box on the left has tubes underneath. The box on the right is a big newspaper dig pit.
The gingerbread houses, the gingerbread bridge, and the peppermint dish are from good will.
Edit: almost forgot. I found this cute mouse stocking at Good Will for $1.
I don't know that I'll fill it, but I couldn't resist.
