So a looooong time ago, I bought an expensive cat tree. I forced cats to sit on it the first day and then they never touched it again.

Today I bought Max a crate. Max ate in there, dragged his food bowl out, and went to sleep under the bed. And then cats. Rolling Eyes

Peachy: Nobody can say your furry family members don't know how to keep you "entertained". Did you try dabbing a little sachet of catnip on the lounging surfaces of the cat tree? Just enough to leave a light yet thoroughly intoxicating fragrance, you know.

That suggestion reminds me of a time I got a sample spritz of Rive Gauche eau de parfum on a sweatshirt sleeve -- then it seemed I spent the next few weeks, whenever I wore that sweatshirt as my jacket, walking around with my nose on that sleeve.

Puppies are hilaaaarious. Tonight I started teaching Max to shake hands. He knows sit and I was able to get him to "get it" for fetch... he didn't bring any toys back so I threw a spoon off the table, and he brought it back. Rofl2

He has the most deceiving hand shake though. He sits sweetly and lifts his paw, then chomps down on your hand and throws in a sleeve tug. Can you imagine a human doing that? I tried to demonstrate to my husband but he pulled away before I could bite. Laugh

Well, first U.S. President Trump introduced the power handshake from the world of business to the weak-pawed world of political diplomacy. Ever since then, the other heads of state have been working on their I'm-going-to-throw-you-to-the-floor judo-style strongarm grips. Next year's G7 summit, maybe we will see the hand chomp / sleeve tug make its first appearance in the international politico-economic realm.

Seems like there’s are certainly less originals to teach people the proper ways of mouse ownership—saw a couple threads where some people were giving not-so-great advice and it seems one of you two—CallaLily or AnonymousMouseOwner—were the only ones left to advise! So maybe I’ll stick around here a little longer to help you guys to help the new guys out ^_^

EDIT: Just realized that that might have sounded rude... so sorry if it did. That wasn’t the tone I was trying to put on it but it most likely sounded worse than intended. I’m so sorry!!!

Look at my grown puppy! 4 months old and soooooo smart. We started puppy kindergarten at the beginning of July and the instructor says he's ahead of the class, but the socializing is so important for him. He's super shy! Love

Lol, my parents were watching house flipping shows and I guess for added drama, they record a rat running across a counter. Except this rat was a hooded black and white rat. Then the girl renovating the house screams "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, it's a rat!! Ewww!". Then later in the same episode an albino mouse runs across the floor and the girl freaks out again. Come on, if they are going to buy pet store mice/rats to create drama in a show, they could at least have gone with agouti colors LOL.

That's hilarious Anon, I remember watching a TV programme once and they had a Blue Irish rat that was supposed to be 'Wild' haha, better than a hooded rat, but still Laugh

The vets office sent Graham a birthday card!! We didn't give them the exact age, so I guess they just estimated because it's certainly not today, but it was pretty cute nonetheless. It had a little rat on it!

Max chewed the zip ties off Rosie's cage and she escaped! Anyone know how to get a hamster out of the oven? Laughing

Never mind, lured her out with cheese and salmon and whisked her into a box. Phew.
